There were all sorts of problems with that group recording. Some lines were great, some were unusuable. In the case of this version, the tempo is actually different as is the key. So there was no way to use the individual lines that folks sang. (For those reading, we had different awards nominees each sing a line in the song.. Tammy and Jody Whitesides were 2 of a large group of awards folks who participated). But even though the tempo and key was changed, they were able to adjust the background vocals to fit and use them to give a little taste of what the choir sounds like.

We really wanted to have a nice "We are the world" type of sing along recording, but there was a couple fatal flaws in the process that made that impossible. Some day we'll give it another go with a better plan in place to get it right. (For example the second background group vocal was out of timing to work.. a mistake that wasn't the fault of the performers).

The real purpose of this is to be an easy song to sing along with and pick up quickly, with lots of room (after it fades here) for vocal vamping and instrument riffing. Anyone who has been to the awards show has heard this happen. Eventually we'll do a full blown studio recording that will really show off how much fun this can be to sing.

Harold Payne is the lead singer on this. He rocks! = )
