I agree the reggae feel works great in this song. It's incredible the things that happen in a session to totally alter everything. Wow 40+ people
I noticed in the original there was an organ but it was kinda buried and never played it's own parts. I agree the level is a bit hot in spots. I also wanna bring down the guitars at the and so the rest of the stuff sits better.

I have a Hammond Organ here so I replayed the organ I added a whole new part to the second verse which I thought sailed. It has it's own hook line, and the level was perfect then towards the end of the verse it starts getting too loud then so on.
I have to take the approach of lowering things as I can't raise the vocal. What's cool is when you change eq on the 2 tracks there is plenty of bass so the highs bring out the guitars & the vocals...

I extended the song by adding another chorus if you noticed, It doesn't have to be too long a song maybe one more chorus passed this would be perfect a little over 3 minutes. 3:20 etc..

First I just enhanced (remastered) it as it was.
Then I thought man live drums would make this so cool. Oh no can't stop now!
I laid into the drums so in the pocket you almost cant tell there are two drum beats playing.

So I added the following things live
1) Drums
2) Percussion (timbale, tamb)
3) Hammond Organ
4) Electric Guitar
5) Slide Guitar

The only thing I didn't add was my bread & butter instrument The Bass
Beside the bass on this was great!

In the end section I have to bring down the electric rhythm and the slide guitar
This way the Hammond and timbales will all sit better.
Then I mixed all the live music with the stereo original song. If you put headphones on or listen closely you can hear all the subtle things added that weren't there.

I'm gonna take another pass or 10 at it I'll get that organ perfect.
