Ok, since it's almost the end of Nov, here's the stats from the 2 sites I use. Same ten songs, no advertising or links on both...
Soundclick
Page hits ; 390
Song Plays ; 45
Downloads ; zero
IAC
Raw Plays ; 1847
Unique Plays ; 1795
Downloads ; zero
Both have had no front page songs put up over the month, and both pages, are I guess, in the backwaters.
I think it comes down to the genre which is dominant to both sites, the music in this case, being more suitable to one particular audience than the other.
Also there's a matter of how many songs they are competing with. With over 2 million songs listed at soundclick, I think it's easy to get lost in the noise. From what I can figure, IAC seems to have about 80,000.
Anyone got any other comparisons ?
