Not sure why there has been such a discussion about this song.
The song sucks...pretty damn bad...end of discussion.
There's been alot of sugar-coating going on in this thread, as I'm guessing there is alot on this forum with people trying not to hurt peoples feelings. It human to try to point out the good in someones creative work. But this? No. I'm not going to do it. Sometimes, you have to tell people what it really is, and it might make them better for it
I don't care if you actually had Travis Tritt or Trace Adkins singing on it, it would still suck. I don't and will never buy into the idea that good singer make a bad song good.
Please take my advice...write another song. You should spend your time writing more, and hoping you get a good one, instead of worrying about this one that you have apparently been working on for years. Years? Really? As I read, you have been looking for a singer for years. You can't even imagine what real songwriters can get done in a single day, let alone years
I am not giving you this advice as an opinion or to be rude. My intent is, in letting you know what you have here, that you will actually go and write more.
