Now that plenty of people, that have developed the Free Enterprise system are sucessful, the "Annointed One" wants them the Share the Wealth. Just tax them more and more.
The top income tax rate was over 90% throughout the 50's and was over 70% throughout the 70's. It is now 35% President Obama wants to return it to what it was before the Bush tax cuts - 38.6%. The nerve! It was 70% when President Reagan took office and 28% when he left. Funny how no one accuses him of redistributing wealth. Scott All too true Scott I think every one should have been outraged. How dare Reagan and Bush redistribute the wealth back to the people who earned it? What was he thinking? It simply astounds me that anyone thinks taking 70% of a persons earnings is in any way justified. Or 60%, 50%, 40%, Even %30 is IMHO more than enough. And it does not matter how much they make. Ray is right. The Constitution of the United States of America has no provision to allow Congress to take money, or anything else for that matter, from anyone and redistribute it to someone else. That is not freedom
