And consider where the first world countries are located compared to third world countries. For the most part, the first world has all the basics covered and we exist near the top of the triangle. People like the ISIS tribes are way down in the triangle and are looking for food and shelter on a daily basis. I doubt if most of the ISIS fighters have a clue what they are fighting for...just that if they sign on, they might get a few square meals and some leadership and a bit of fun shooting people and chasing those virgins.

And don't forget the much wider disparity between the haves and the have-nots in Africa and the Middle East compared to the west. The haves live in swank high rise buildings paid for by oil money while the have-nots live in the desert and cook on fires fueled with camel dung.

I don't have any good answers except to say that we would be better off isolating them from us and vice versa rather than trying to nuke 'em (which would be like trying to nuke Arizona and New Mexico).
