See lots of singers on the voice on reverbnation and twitter having a tough time using their exposure on national tv to their advantage. Reality shows just aren't the springboard they used to be at the start. Cause exposure doesnt translate to money, in a world where people dont buy music. Live Shows are still where you can make some. But I think when we say they "dont make it" we mean on the grand scale. i think the exposure can help you get gigs, "come see so and so of American idol at Larry's Bar And Grill friday night, dollar beers and chicken wings till midnight! I wouldnt mind that, regular gigs with a decent pay, How long could you keep the gigs coming though?
