Actually Bob, as one who has spent considerable time in Chicago, I must say that where I live in Utah, the sky needs no artificial coloration whatsoever. It's downright perfect as is.

And that unbridled, uncompromising, and unfettered world you live in where art not only exists, but flourishes, sounds like your private studio. Nothing wrong with that, if that's what you want. Most in this business, however, view things a bit more pragmatically than you do, even those who decided not to attend law school.

I do respect your devotion to uncompromising art, believe me, and I worked with Fred Richmond, Dem. NY, back in the 70's to get support for the Endowment for the Arts, but the reality is that most people involved with the arts are in it for the money they hope it will someday produce for them, not for the opportunity to engage in unbridled expression. Even ABT has to sell tickets to survive.
