It looks like Hank too. Certainly a great song. Hard to sing tho. Hank sang all the lyrics too. Probably going into the studio and recording songs was a lot harder in those days. Since Hank wrote so many of his own songs he probably didn't get around to recording BLUE EYES CRYING IN THE RAIN.

A quiz. Do you know the Title of the last song Hank released before he died? I do. I remember it on the radio when it came out.

Since this post is about song structure, something that could have a lot of meanings, the simplest way to change song structure is write different lyrics that change the tempo. A lot of times re-writes are needed to make a song competitive.

A lot of times a set of lyrics will be boxed in, so to speak and nothing else can be done to the lyrics. Then you just have to go with it or put it aside.
