I find it interesting that almost every artist, every writer, you guys mention is in the past 10-20-30 years ago range.

I started out just a bit ago saying the top of the list is Jeffery Steele with nearly 200 songs cut, multiple number ones, tons of cuts. But like always, the response is "in 1968 Marty Robbins, did this and so on and so on."

You also mention people like Hugh, whom I like, but hasn't exactly had a rash of cuts in the past few years and if you want to hear some negativity on the Row, you can hear him talk about it.

I can't tell you guy what to do with your writing or your careers. I can tell you what the industry is now and has been for about the past 20 years. You can always bring out exceptions and make pronouncements. It is easy to do. The closer you get to it, the harder it is to make blanket statements.

You can all do what you feel you need to. A lot of people are trying to do that. They all have the same chance. They have the Internet and they have the ability to "go it alone."

To each his or her own.
