To be honest, I'm kind of shocked to find that this site is so lacking. I used to be active on other sites but these days, I find myself here because I had deluded myself into thinking this was a pretty good place to be. I don't know what I was thinking.

OK, sarcasm aside, what makes Just Plain Folks so special is the sense of community. People from all different backgrounds with all different musical interests can come here to share, learn, and be a part of something bigger than themselves.

I'm not against change if something isn't working, but I honestly didn't know there was a problem here. New people come here all the time and I always see them being greeted and made to feel welcomed. People come together and share their music and ideas. Sometimes unexpected collaborations happen and the music goes in unexpected directions. If changes occur that make even one of those unexpected collaborations fail to materialize, then we all lose.
