Polly, the monthly mentoring was stopped because people seemed to lose interest for one reason or another. Unfortunately, I only discovered it shortly before the section was closed.

However, perhaps Brian would see fit to resurrect that possibility if enough people here requested it. I think that section used to be within the Mentor Questions Forum. I might have been the last or one of the last to have a lyric critiqued. It was a tremendous experience being put under the microscope. Made you realise just how much work is necessary to get a lyric to a decent standard.

As to my first suggestion, I'd really like to have the Shout Box available again for casual drop-ins and chat rather than as a venue for collaborations. It must get awfully confusing at times. grin In fact, there'd be no need for a separate chat box at all if collaborators were to open a song thread in one of the forums and simply work on each of their songs there, in tandem with using email and PMs as necessary. What do you think?
