1.Write what makes you happy.

2.Find successful music that sounds like the music you write that makes you happy.

3.Find out how it became successful.

4.Do that.

5.Pay no attention to those people who tell you you can't or shouldn't, or, especially, to those who don't like the music that you do.

6.Don't buy anything you don't need. Especially if it is being sold by someone who promises you success.

7.If your happiness depends on your success as an artist, you have it all mixed up. Your success as an artist depends on whether your art makes you happy. You can never make a dime from your art and be happy. You can make a billion dollars from your art and be miserable. That should tell you something.
