Hi,

Okay I understand but still don't quite get it. Can you hear & see the difference between The Lady A song and The Montgomery Gentry song? Doesn't one read, and feel and sound alot more
Country than the other one? It does to me.

It's not a question of a beef, in Rock I know a thousand bands better or more diverse and deeper than Nickelback yet there the only rock band that gets attention constantly over the last 10 years. But there still Rock.... How is Snoop related to a Bluesman musically?

How are Hank Williams lyrics "Real Country" and others aren't? What does a "Cheatin' Heart" say that makes it only relate-ble to Country Music folks?

Or is it just the feel of the song or sound? Still can't figure out how The song I posted isn't Country... yes it has Rock elements in it, but doesn't Blues appear in everything to?
And wasn't Hank kinda Pop once it was commercial?

But again more importantly for those writing songs like Shayne who say's "I would like a cut" Would he say "But it's too bad that anything that isn't old tradition is not really Country and I wanted a hit in my lifetime" smile

As songwriters and lovers of music we owe it to ourselves to open up all the doors and windows.

Thanks!
Peace Mike
