Our (American) Constitution was, and is meant to limit Governmental intrusion on our individual lives. We currently have an administration that doesn't agree with that. When that happens we have a Supreme Court to right the wrong that the Government (Current Administration) has tried to do to circumvent The Constitution in many ways.

Everyone has a God given right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. The Government has absolutely no right to take that away (Nanny State). Laws are made by the people and for the people, not for the convenience of the Government.
This thing will come to a head come November.

Noel, I don't know why you seem to think that your Government is so wise and the end all to your nations problems, but thankfully the US still scrutinizes politicians and holds them accountable for their actions. Politicians are people too, and many are unscrupulous. I'm sure that Australia has a few that fit in that category too. Do you want to turn your liberty over to them from simple trust? We just sent the former Governor Of Illinois (Democrat) to prison for 14 years. On a rare occasion like that, the courts did their job and should be commended.
