Rather than split it up, why not make Genre part of the posting process. There may be some younger people that feel alienated that there aren;t more opportunities on here for them. When I had my songs pitched through Sharp Objects in Nashville, you realize that the musical picture can be painted in a myriad of ways. Everyone sees it differently. Even though the average writer on here may be a touch older, they have a lifetime of experience and stories. There are many on here adept at the home studio technology. There is a wealth of talent, and information on here for those willing to use it, young or old. I may be a Baby Boomer, but I know my way around home recording as good as most , This forum is what you make of it. All genres should be accepted by all. It is our craft.
