This is an interesting Article but there are so many exceptions. I write both music and words BUT work with outside lyricists also. I find writing lyrics with another person is disjointed and don't like it.It's a different Psychology as a Singer Songwriter as our songs are more Personal than just 3 guys writing in a room in Nashville. By Personal I mean that what a Singer Songwriter writes about is USUALLY about how HE or SHE sees the world AND or Autobiographical. AND of course THEY will be singing their own message.
Any Thoughts?
