Excellent point Everett! In fact, that's not only the very definition of Christianity, it's the obvious difference that distinguishes Christianity from all other philosophies and religions. As our creator, God forgives because only He can forgive. God lowered Himself, humbled Himself before His own creation, to serve as a perfect example, knowing that we would persecute and crucify Him for it. Which leaves mankind with a question... If God would humble Himself before His own creation, how much more should we, not only humble ourselves before God, but also each other?

A most common question about Christianity is; If God is so wonderful, powerful, and great, then why does He allow so much suffering and evil in the world? The answer should be obvious, He can't do any more for us than He already has... unless He takes away our free will. We were given dominion over this earth, so we are responsible for its condition. What have you done for God lately?
