Tony... Think bliss. Try to relax. Time and events do what they do.  Unfortunately, in my life, I've yet to see anything go way up that did not come back down. (correct itself) But I'm hopeful that this debt issue will not be as bad as it might. The bad news is that your dismal outlook is not irrational.
