This song is bad. Just listen to the demo. The line: "well, let's just say she wasn't much fun" doesn't flow at all. Not even AI could get that line to flow properly. If he wrote that, it is because it is so clearly and obviously true. The lyrics and music are a spitting and sputtering mess. It is you who can't see the obviousness in that.
