I kind of have to agree with Randy that you wouldn't keep coming back if you were all about a scam. However, you must understand how it looks to us knowing what we know about the industry and the fact that you have no track record with us as a poster on these boards.
Most of us are not experts but we have studied enough and been around enough to be leary of "opportunities" that don't seem quite right.
You have admitted that you are new at this. If you care about your clients as much as you say, please educate yourself on the biz as much as possible so that you do not lead your clients down a path that you and they will regret later.
You are correct that the major labels are a tough nut to crack and that a lot of artists make it big with indies before the majors will take notice. However, there are a lot of indies out there that are not exactly on the up and up. They are not always easy to spot.
And as much as I hate to play "grammar cop," you would do well to brush up on your grammar and spelling so you can present yourself in the best possible light when writing.
FWIW, the more you come back and honestly seek knowledge, the more credibility you may get with us, if that's important to you.
