I enjoyed the experience on this as well. I too hope we can find a home for this for several reasons. It does seem sad that few and far between are the likes of of Frank, Tony Bennett, Johnny Mathis, etc. but I'm holding out hope. There is still an audience that loves that kind of music (I know some young people who love this kind of music in addition to their country and rock). A few you didn't mention who fit the criteria of solo male singers who would fit this bill possibly (and great ones at that) are Harry Connick Jr. and Michael Buble.

Here's to the "old school style" you mentioned!! May it never die!! I hope there will always be a niche' for those timeless simple classic songs. We may be in a minority here on JPF but that's okay. Sure, I'll write for Johnny!
