Great thread you have started here. I'll try not to let my two cents worth turn into a buck and a half.

I have been writing and being published since the early 70's with a few indy cuts but no money makers YET. TAXI is just one of the "vehicles" I have used to get my material out there. You have to recognize that it is nothing more than a time and money saving filter for your songs to pass through. Getting permission to submit to various publishers, record label A&R reps, and individual artists is a time consuming and costly process when you start calculating all the hours, postage, long distance phone calls, etc. TAXI eliminates a huge chunk of that and allows you to focus time on spacific ears that you may want to zero in on.

I simply check their listings for ears that match up with what I have in the can and go from there. My first purchase of TAXI was a painful bite in my wallet but I have never regretted it.

BTW, I have never had a forward from TAXI but that has not diminished my personal sense of the value of their service.
