Wayne, you are right-on about saving time with TAXI. If an artist does not value themselves, nobody else will either. So many musicians, to my dismay, fail to value their time. I hear friends say things like "oh, I'd rather spend 2 weeks lining up that interview then $20 submitting online." Honestly, one hour of my time is worth a lot more than $20. And I pray that other songwriters share that sentiment.

Even worse is the comment, "oh I'd rather play that 4-hour roadhouse gig for $150 then not have any gig at all." As a Blues artist in Atlanta, I see this ALL THE TIME. It makes my job even harder. Those same folks are dumbfounded when I tell them I convinced a college, who has never heard of me, to pay my band over $1k to perform for 90 minutes - and did I mention that gig includes meals and lodging? So much of succeeding in Music depends on placing a value on your "goods or services" be they performing or songwriting, or both.
