Lead breaks are not really necessary, especially if you have some good riffs. But here's a song with V-C-V-C-Br-C that has a pretty good lead break and two ending type tag sections and it comes in at 2:31 with the count-off still in there: http://soundclick.com/share?songid=8039830 -- so it can be done. I like lead breaks and story development so 3 minutes seems to be my practical lower limit. Kevin
