I like em short. For the way that I perform, the shorter the better. I can throw a lot more material at my audience with shorter songs.
I always thought it was a cop out to yak a lot between songs or take long solo's. I do understand the importance of establishing a raport with your audience too, but I believe that can be done suscinctly.
Always hated bands that played 3 song sets...
