Had a demo ever been released on a major recording?
Well I can't prove it but if you ever listen to Faron Young's recording of ALONE WITH YOU, you would swear it is a demo. I think the song was written by Roy Drusky with some help from Faron and one more.
How good does a demo need to be? Good enough to sell the song. A good demo if not what someone is looking for at the time will be passed over so don't thing a demo was what had the song rejected.
