If I recall correctly, the songwriter who wrote "The Rose" said it came out in less than twenty minutes. That it was just there, waiting to be written. I'm with Big Jim here. Virtually every major artist, and their representatives, decline to hear "outside" songs, no matter the source. So, theey all stick to their inside networks, where the artist/songwiter/producer/friends of the artist/anyone who's recently charted/ all help each other out. And once again, I will reiterate how sick I am of the "honing your craft" (bullshit) line. Ott
