Music is a business, but don't let that put you off. What the heck is business anyway, but taking an interest in other people, sharing, trading and offering stuff, trying to make the most of it. That's what we all do after all the crying is done, one way or another.

Taking great intrest in the business end will really make you both a better songwriter and a better co-writer, in my view. You get to see things from the outside, reach out, commit, and start making more serious efforts.

That's not all bad.
