Aaron, after WW-1 most of the Western Powers De-Militarized because they thought there would be no more World Wars. WW-1 was referred to as the Great War. But, we all know WW-2 came along and the West had to build up it's Military. Since then nobody is going to reduce it's Military for the most part. As you know, well most people know, that we went thru the Cold War. Now your Friend Putin is trying to Re-Invent the Glory Days of the Soviet Union. To Coin a Phrase, there were no Glory Days in the old Soviet Union. The State Controlled everything. Workers were implored to produce more. But there was nothing in it for them but long hours of misery. So they said, if we produce more today, the state will expect us to produce more from now on. So they rebelled.

Our esteemed Leader here in the U.S. is trying to Re-Invent the Old Soviet Union where the State Controls everything. The latest is Health Care and giving up the store to all the Illegals.

Humm, let's see, the more things change, the more they stay the same.
