The most important point he makes is about curiosity. You have to want to learn. Absent a mental impairment, a lack of curiosity is probably the most reliable indicator of stupidity. Valuing our teachers more is another important point. Of course, that means paying them more, and that means the rest of us being willing to pay a little more to make it happen. Good luck with that.
