Any song totals up to 100%.If you give up your publishing 100%,you still hold 50% of the song as writer,they hold 50% of the song as publisher.50% + 50%= 100%.Sometimes you can hold on to half the publishing,so it would be 25%+25%+50%=100% where you hold 75% of the song,they hold 25%.Now that is as clear as mud lol.
