It's interesting that you mention songs you like that are "Ancient History" according to "Another" poster here who shall remain nameless. Of course that wasn't the subject.
I'LL GO ON ALONE was of course Marty Robbins first hit and sold a reportedly 600,000 copies. I didn't know that Marty wrote it as I had heard Webb Pierces cover many years before as it was a big hit for Webb as well.
A lot of old songs are out of style today, or are they?
I heard that George Strait was playing THERE STANDS THE GLASS on his shows a few years ago. Hummn.....
