I always thought songs were suppose to reflect life and society around us, silly me. Life has more negative things than positive things, more down than ups, more curves than straights, more sorrows than joys. Unless we are trying to hide from real life, you would expect more negative songs telling how life is, how many loves that don't work out,etc.
