That is why they call it Freedom of opinion. I have seen the same things you are talking about tear jerkers, some negative people at a higher level of stardom. I personally could care less for tear jerkers. Never have. Protest songs have always bored me about as bad as anything that exists. Again, I just have no use for the, Enough negative out there in life.
And as far as negative people high up the ladder, I have seen the exact opposite. Again, that is why I wish people could experience a little of what I am talking about. Again, it about what you are surrounded by. In music, when you hear nothing but negative songs, particularly negative songs that fail miserably on every test, you don't have to be hit in the head with a pole to realize what not to do.
Again, I am only talking about my personal experiences. I only deal with people around the world on a continuous basis, so most of my experience is going to be made up of that. I just guess it depends on what you want your music to do. Personally, I want mine to enrich life and add to things. I've never seen a negative song do that.
