Big Jim This statement says it all. But it is your opinion and that is OK. Personally I think you are mistaken. Some people have no idea as to the amount of time and effort that goes into writing and recording music compared to just writing the words It does take more time to record, mix, and master a song. That's a given. Many hours can be spent in mixing alone. Each piece takes time. That does not mean it is harder to do or takes more talent to do one over the other. It takes years to master the art of writing lyrics just as it takes years to master the art of playing an instrument. I believe the ability to match words with music comes with the same amount of practice as it takes to match music to words. If you write the words and work with musicians to put those words to music you will learn the way music and words fit together. There is always a bit of tweaking to make them match in perfect harmony. Different talents to be sure but both take hard work and have a learning curve.
