Bill.....it is a testimony to Autotune and Melodyne that most pop stars stay reasonably in tune. Sometimes I wish some of the folks could lip sync on karaoke....or better still some of the so called stars restricted themselves to singing in their local karaoke. Remember that rules are meant to be broken... LOL
Seriously my point is not meant to provoke argument but to provoke thought.......If what I say is true then all lyricists HAVE to find great melodies otherwise their great lyrics will fall on deaf ears.
As a singer I sometimes may forget the lyrics but will never forget the tune......even though I may not always sing in tune LOL
