Jim, believers do not owe you proof, so stop challenging their belief.
As much as you want sciencific evidence, there isn't any, nor is there any to disprove their beliefs.
You want to be an atheist, fine, your prerogrative. But why do you feel the need to continue to persuade others that your are right?
You cannot prove or disprove the existence of God so why do you insist on your dogmatic pursuit?
