Actually, there IS evidence for this, and it was done in a lab. It's a very famous experiment:

The chemistry is very complex, but put simply: yes, you can get organic compounds from inorganic ones under the right circumstances.

But this fact has little to do with "evolution." Evolution is a theory on the diversity of life forms -- it's not about the origins of life itself.
