You probably need an adequate recording of a song but you don't need a overly expensive one. A good song will show thru with an adequate recording. If you don't have what a producer/artist is looking for the best recorded song will be passed on.

Some who are seeking songs will pass on a song even if it is what they are looking if the demo isn't perfect.
