Gheez,
In the old days they didn't need no stinkin' Software to record with. All the Musicians went into the Studio and recorded a song. If it didn't exactly come out right they just did it again. And usually all the musicians were top notch, from years of practice of course. Much of the time they got it in one take. Master that.
