It's alright saying after the fact that iether it was the lyrics or the music made the song. But all I say is that a crap tune won't work with great lyrics and vis-versa.
To assume that learning the guitar or having the software will make for a better songwriter is crap.
Some can write words, some can write music. why not just live together instead of always looking to feel superior.
anyway I will move on from this topic as no agreement will ever be reached.
I was always told never to discuss religion or politics.
I guess that should be extended to include..
what makes a great song the music or the lyrics.
ps. Big Jim. I guess I am no longer on your list of those you would do a co-write with (if I ever was on your list). lol
