Actually Brian, if you own shares in any corporations, you know that their Board of Directors and their top management teams make all the decision.

So yes, shareholders (and most of these are pension funds and mutual funds along with thousands of individual investors) may ultimately own the corporations listed, but that does not mean they control their actions. Kinda like voters do not control the action of governments.

And my point? It is an interesting, timely, and completely scientific study. I have not editorialized it, and simply stated the facts.

Should we fear it? Not sure. Should we think of it as a good thing?? Not sure. But it is good to know.
