Yep, the USA are chumps (tenderhearted as they are). Time to get a little backbone and cold-blooded common sense.
Just heard on the news a couple nights ago that we supply 1/3 of Pakistan's military budget. Huh, you're kidding me. They hate our guts. Our military will probably be facing-off with them someday. We even give aid to North Korea. I can only guess how N.K. is using that windfall.
As far as capitalism? It's never been given a chance (not laissez-faire capitalism). It's always been a mixed bag of political philosophies. Corporations? Government has turned many of them into criminals (or parasites).
After hearing this on the news last night; "Connecticut Officials Push Washington to Offer Free Diapers to Poor Mothers", I don't have a lot of confidence of any good changes taking place in the good-old USA.
I'm sure I'll be sorry I entered this debate.
