NO THE STATEMENT IS NOT BIZARRE....OR INDEED IGNORANT......IT IS TRUE.
History should tell us that wealth and power is usually inherited....from the feudal system....days when serfs were owned by landlords and the peasants did all the work, lived in squalor whilst the rich lazed about in luxury.
To say that the statement is ignorant...actually shows a great ignorance and naivity.
Whilst there are exceptions to the rule.....they are few and far between.
Our countries were built on slavery......that principle albeit watered down still exists.
