Bill Gates is smart and fortunate and I believe a model billionaire philanthropist

Smart and fortunate because he, when asked to produce an operating system for IBM, actually bought it for $50,000 from a local company and it turned into Microsoft. The developer, Tim Patterson worked for the company that developed it then for MS in and out but was always an employee and never owned it.

Gates was then smart when MS started competing for what is now the office suite space and could co ordinate OS and Word and Excel releases, and started branching out with profits, re investing in new products and experiencing failures but the long term trend was up.

And he will be transferring much of if not all that farmland into his foundation as one of the wealthy who have decided to give their fortune away. Carnegie funded libraries. Gates is on health as one of his priorities.

He is one of the good guys I think.
