Hi Brian, I understand the model is not a penny per track. The point that I was trying to make is that as long as there are still illegal free P2P like Kazaa and others out there, how do we convince people to pay a monthly fee?
Don't get me wrong, I really like this model, and I think it will do fine. But have any of the players in this venture discussed how to get people to pay for music again? Both iTunes and Napster have reported some great numbers of download since they started, but it hasn't made a dent on the number of downloads still being produced at those free sites.
Educating the public is one way, but what else, and are we too late?
