Virgin's proposed monthly fee for full access is not a penny a play, since you can download a song and then play it lots of times. But the big win I see is that since the whole process is computerized then we will know exactly which tracks are being requested, and all the indie musicians and the people who don't get picked by Clear Channel will start getting their proper PRO fees. The PROs will have no excuse to ignore this new source of information about what people listen to.

The only flaw I see is the part where if you stop paying your monthly subscription then you aren't allowed to listen to the stuff you already have downloaded into your iPod/whatever. How they gonna enforce that?
