At the risk of sounding trite, I have to go with "Imagine" John Lennon. The simplicity yet enormity of the lyric, the simplicity yet enormity of the piano with John's haunting vocals. It is in my opinion the perfect song. It captures the essence of the writer, the very essence- the idealist. My dream (no pun intended) as a writer is to find that one song deep in my soul that absolutely characterizes everything I am. Not to say I don't intend to write many other songs but I do hope at some point I am able to reach that part of myself and write my own "Imagine" whatever that may be.
I just love to write- I really don't feel like it's something I choose to do.... it's something that chose me
