We decided we should be together

The joining of our lives was something special
So I went looking for that special thing

I saw it on display there in that window
A little shop just off the beaten path
It had to find it’s way to Angel’s finger

I placed that golden ring on Angel’s finger
As the tears welled in her eyes she said, “For life”

She said let’s go home and show my family
So proud was she of that small diamond band
So fast it was she never saw it coming
God had touched her with his mighty hand

I reached for her amidst the tangled wreckage
She looked at me and gently touched my face
“I don’t have much time, Babe, Wont you hold me?

And held each other then I heard her say;
